1.Aerial photography and multispectral scanning :
(1)
All kinds of aerial photography projects are implemented by this Institute with cameras of different focal length to provide B/W , color aerial photo in various scale for mapping , planning , inventory and remote sensing.
(2)
Multispectral scanning
Airborn digital multispectral scanner system is used to scan the ground to
Collect the data of ultraviolet ( 0.3-0.4 μm ) , visible light & reflected infrared ( 0.38 – 1.1μm )
And thermal infrared ( 3-5 , 8-14μm ) region of the electromagnetic radiation in digital type recorded in the high density digital tape (HDDT). The data recorded in HDDT can be transferred to B/W , color image for
Interpretation an converted to computer compatible tape (CCT) to provide agencies and institutions concerned for remote sensing research .

2.Stereo-mapping :
The main equipments in use on stereo mapping including orthophoto and line mapping in this Institute are Zeiss C-100 or C-130 analytical stereo plotters , Zeiss D2 stereoplotters , Z-2 analytical orthoprojector Zeiss PS-1 Photoscan , Imagestation and Mapsetter. The large-scale orthophoto map having both advantages of aerial photo and line map are now mainly produced and used widely due to its high quality and precision.

3.Agricultural and forest resources aerial survey :
Agricultural and forest inventory have been carried out through photogrammetry method and after land use type maps produced based on orthophoto base map, computerized aerial survey data system are employed for data statistics and land use type map reproduction to establish land use fundamental data bank.

4.Remote Sensing :
Remote sensing is a highly efficient survey technique. Color infrared aerial photos and multispectral scanning data are employed by this Institute to help implementing land use survey , identify tree species , detect agricultural and forest damage caused by natural disaster , monitor disease and pest damage of rice and forest . Besides , color institute to other government agencies and school concerned for remote sensing research and development.
