  • Increase professional knowledge in applied aerial remote sensing technology, execute processional graphic production and conduct agricultural and timber land resource surveys.

  • Collect and photograph aerial remote sensing image data in Taiwan region, establish aerial survey data pool, enrich territorial land information to serve as reference for government policies, various planning research works or for added scholastic value applications.

History and development

• April, year 1954
  • Sino-American Joint Commission on Rural reconstruction established forestry resource and land use aerial survey investigation team; a predecessor of Aerial Survey Office, Forestry Bureau.
• January, year 1959
  • Established forestry aerial survey team under Council Of Agriculture supervision. continual investigation on Taiwan forestry resource surveys and conduct small-sized topographic aerial survey works.
• July, year 1973
  • Forestry Bureau took over in conducting large-sized graphic image productions, agricultural aerial survey investigations and remote sensing operations.
• February, year 1980
  • Expanded and reorganized into Taiwan County Government Council Of Agriculture , Agricultural Aerial survey office ,Forestry Bureau where aerial survey graphic production and agricultural aerial survey investigations and remote sensing operations continue to be conducted.
• July, year 1999
  • Renamed Aerial Survey Office, Forestry Bureau.
